Regular Board MeetingsThe Board meets twice each month, usually on the first and third Tuesdays from 7:30-10:00 p.m, to hear public comments, conduct business, and to hear reports from Board Committees and school administrators. Regular meetings are held at Town Campus in the Hammonasset Room. Board meetings are conducted under Robert's Rules of Order. Board meeting agendas are posted through the CABE website and on Channel 19 before each meeting. Public ParticipationAll Board meetings except Executive Sessions are open to the public. Board meetings are also videotaped and replayed on Madison Cable Channel 19 each week. Any member of the public may speak and offer brief comments to the Board at 7:30 p.m. before each Board meeting begins. The Madison Public Schools Board of Education consists of nine members who are elected by the voters of Madison. Each volunteer member serves a four-year term. Board Members
The Executive Committee of the Board consists of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, and a Secretary. Officers serve for two years and are elected at a November Board meeting. The Board is organized into standing Committees that meet once or twice per month in addition to regular Board meetings. The Board Chairman serves ex officio on each Board Committee.
