Brown Middle School Student
Wins Essay Contest

At its May 6, 2008 meeting, the Board of Education recognized Kate Mazzeo, a Grade 6 Student at Dr. Robert H. Brown Middle School.  Kate won First Place in the “eesmarts Middle School Essay Contest” sponsored by United Illuminating. Kate was recognized at an Awards Ceremony at the State Capital earlier in the day, where she was awarded a plaque and a computer. The Board of Education recognized her with a Certificate signed by Chairman Hale and Superintendent Klein.
